Overage (extra usage)

Let users keep working past their included AI usage with usage-based overage, and cap spend at the workspace and per-user level.

AI model usage in chat and agents is included with each seat. For high-volume use, Odeus supports usage metering and overage: users can continue using models past their included usage, with the additional consumption metered and billed on your invoice. Overage is enabled and capped from workspace settings.

Overage applies to chat and agent usage. Workflow AI usage is metered separately — when a workflow's Agent nodes call models, those token costs are measured and billed in addition to your seats. See Pricing.

Enabling overage

Go to [Settings > Workspace > Usage](https://app.odeus.ai/settings/workspace/usage).



Turn on overage so users can continue using models after exceeding their included usage.

Overage is billed by usage and appears as a separate line item on your invoice, alongside your seat-based subscription. See Invoices.

We recommend setting both a workspace cap and per-user limits so spend stays predictable. The sections below show how to configure each.

Spend limits

You can combine limits at the workspace and per-user level. The workspace limit gives you a single ceiling for the whole organization, while per-user limits let you cap individuals.

When a user reaches their spend limit, additional overage is paused for them until the next billing period. They keep their seat's included usage and can continue working within those limits.

When a limit is reached mid-response, the model is allowed to finish the current response before the limit is enforced. This avoids a confusing mid-response switch, so the final billed amount can slightly exceed the configured limit.

Workspace spend limit

Set a maximum monthly overage spend for the entire workspace.

Go to [Settings > Workspace > Usage](https://app.odeus.ai/settings/workspace/usage).



Set the workspace spend limit to **Unlimited** or a **Custom** amount.

The page shows how much has been spent in the current billing period and when it resets. When the workspace spend limit is reached, overage is paused for all users until the next period, regardless of their individual limits.

Per-user spend limits

To cap individual users, set per-user overage limits:

• Default: Inherits the workspace setting.
• Unlimited: No additional cap for this user.
• Custom: A specific monthly amount for this user.

The user list shows each user's current overage spend in the active billing period, so you can monitor consumption at a glance.

To grant overage to only specific users, set the workspace default to €0, then set a custom limit for the users you want to allow.
