Introduction to Agents

Agents are specialized assistants you can configure for specific use cases or documents. They work like regular chat, but with saved context (instructions, knowledge, and tools) so you don't need to set up the same conversation repeatedly.

Purpose of agents

Chat works great for one-time or quick requests. Agents are better when you want to share your setup with others or handle recurring tasks consistently. An agent bundles together:

• A name, description, and icon
• System instructions that shape its behaviour
• Attached knowledge (uploaded files and Knowledge Hub folders)
• Tools and connectors it can use
• A pinned model

Using agents

Your team can find and use agents directly in the Odeus platform:

• Browse and chat: Open Agents in the sidebar to find agents shared in your workspace, then start a conversation with any of them.
• Pin favourites: Pin the agents you use most for quick access. See Advanced Features.
• Start from a template: Browse agent templates and duplicate one into your workspace to get going quickly.

Public agent pages

You can share an agent outside your workspace with a public, no-login link. Anyone with the link can open the agent's public page and chat with it directly — no Odeus account required. This is useful for demos, support assistants, or letting external collaborators interact with a curated agent.

The public page always serves the published version of the agent. Changes you make in the editor are saved as a draft and only appear publicly once you publish.
